Ian Roxburgh

Designer / Photographer / Artist

I grew up in Torquay in Devon and so have a strong draw to nature and the wilds of the sea. I now live and work in Oxford as a freelance graphic designer, photographer and artist. 

My career span of over 30 years as a designer has been with multi sector brands working on producing collateral items including logos, brochures, posters, websites, print and digital ad campaigns and merchandise. The lionshare of my work has been in magazine design and I’ve worked on over 20 magazines including titles such as R.A.D and Kiteworld Magazine and various extreme sports magazines.

My photography has often complimented my work in design, using my images in collateral. I have had many commissions to photograph action sports events such as Motocross, FMX and Flat Track, which marries work with my passion for motorsport. My photographs have also been published in several magazines, newspapers and various online galleries. 

As an artist my passion lies in discovering discarded items, or what some people would call ‘litter’, and finding different ways of using them in my art - I have a particular penchant for all things rusty!
